NAS Recruits Apprentices

Northern Automotive Systems Limited recently advertised for an apprentice to join the Company. NAS recruit apprentices in order to ensure that a local skills base is maintained, support the local community, boost the local economy and provide young individuals with opportunities.

With the high calibre of the applicants and strong results in the Maths, English and Science assessments, it was decided that out of the 35 Candidates, three would be taken on. The applicants also took part in a team assessment for NAS to give the applicants an opportunity to showcase their team working capabilities. Hywel Nash, Iuean Norman and Thomas Parsons were the successful candidates.

The three new apprentices have now enrolled in Coleg Gwent for their first year, to start their BTEC national Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering.
